Retrofit with any existing 37-pin cables

Which beds does BlackJack work with?
Any bed that has a 37-pin port – Hillrom, Stryker, Linet, Umano and others.

How does it connect to nurse call?
BlackJack is able to connect to any nurse call system via the existing 37-pin or the 1/4” port on the head wall.

We just bought new bed cables.
BlackJack can magnetize your existing cables with an easy to install adapter, allowing you to keep your conventional cables.

How can a cable reduce patient falls?
Most falls happen when the care team isn’t aware the patient is trying to stand – often because the bed isn’t connected to the nurse call system. BlackJack makes it easier to connect your beds, and reduces falls by up to 30%.

What if we don’t plug our beds in?
Not a problem – BlackJack can be trialed on a unit by unit basis to see if it’s effective for you.

The 37-pin port is different room to room.
Right angle, in-line, pig tails and direct bricks are all available as magnetic cables.

Cable
UL listed AVLV2 wires
37 conductors 24 AWG
6.5mm OD PVC jacket

Connectors
DP 37 Male & Female
Gold plated & spring loaded pins

Electrical Ratings
100 volt-amps, 5 amps at max rated voltage and frequency. 30VAC 60Hz or 42.4VDC

Certifications
UL/cUL 1069 & FDA registered medical device. CSA 22.2 No. 205-12

Equipment Required
Wall side BlackJack cable or magnetic brick & bed side BlackJack cable. Phillips head & flat head screwdriver.

Wall Side Install

Use provided thumbscrews to secure cable or magnetic brick into 37-pin port. For right-angle cables ensure the cable exits down, for a magnetic brick the arrow should be visible on top. Secure cable with a metal bracket, a P-Clamp placed ~1 foot from 37-pin port, or both.

Bed Side Install

Use provided thumbscrews to secure cable into 37-pin port underneath or behind the bed. Create a secondary anchor to the bed frame using a P-Clamp.
